PERSONAL COUNSELLING:
Individual counselling is one-on-one counselling between a client and a trained therapist, in a safe, caring, and confidential environment. The client expresses his/ her concerns without the fear of judgement. In Personal counselling you can discuss wide range of concerns example, exam stress, Study related concerns, family conflict and issues, relationship conflict and issues, behavior difficulties, self-esteem issues, confidence and self-image issues, inner conflict, lack of motivation, emotional distress, social fear and anxiety, unresolved feelings related to anger, hurt, fear, shame, grief etc. These areas are some of the common Personal Counselling areas of the concerns that plague people, students and adults alike.

Often people don’t reach out to a counsellor is because they fear being judged, they fear a breach of confidentiality. They fear that they may not be understood or accepted. This fear keeps people from their discovering their inner strength, self-discovery, change, growth and transformation.

WHY PERSONAL COUNSELLING

Therapy is an incredibly useful tool that helps with a range of issues, from anxiety to sleep to relationships to trauma. Research shows that it’s incredibly effective in helping people manage mental health conditions and experts say that it’s worth it even if you don’t have a medical problem.

If you’re noticing you’ve taken on a more negative mood or thought process ― and it’s persistent ― it might be worth talking to someone. This is typically a sign of a mental health issue. A therapist can help you get to the root of the problem.

This could be a new career, a new family or moving to a different city. New ventures are challenging and it’s normal to need assistance with that.

A loss of motivation could signal that something is up. If you’re normally a social butterfly and you’re suddenly pulling away from your weekly sports league, for example, you could be experiencing something deeper. A therapist is trained to help you uncover why this might occurring.

HOW PERSONAL COUNSELLING HELPS

Counselling can help you become a better person and grow in new ways. It’s additional input that can spark your development both personally and professionally. In counselling, you can work on developing the traits and behaviors that you desire to have.

Maintaining your mental health is important. You don’t drive around without changing your oil until your engine catches fire. It’s not a good idea to do that with your mental health either. Counselling can be a preventative measure against future challenges.

Taking time to go over what went wrong and how you can do things better in the future is like going over the replay tape with your coach after a big game. Taking stock of past experiences can position you even better for future relationships.

If you’ve never talked to someone before about your mental health, it might be a valuable experience you just haven’t tried yet. You won’t know until you do, so its definitely worth a try.

You deserve to feel better, live better and find peace and happiness. You are worthy of support and investing in yourself. Just because you aren’t in a crisis doesn’t mean you aren’t worthy of getting help. Discomfort isn’t a competition and you don’t need to score high on the bell curve to get support.
