Skilling Tree Project

Skilling Tree Project

The inception of the project goes back to when our founder Ms. Neha Thakur was completing her Masters in counselling psychology at Christ University, Bangalore. For her dissertation, she studied the positive relationship between academic resilience and school connectedness in young adults. Her biggest takeaway from the research was the power of a supportive work environment at school and its importance for academic development of students. This is how the ‘Skilling Tree Project’ came into picture.

While conducting Life skills program in various parts of India, our founder observed how students even in tier 2 regions of India found it difficult to communicate in English. That is when the idea of formatting a Life skills program was realized by the organization even more.

Year 2022 we exclusively started building the program and conducted various surveys to collect information from various parts of the population, the adolescents, young adults and adults.

The Skilling Tree project is the perfect amalgamation of the analysis made of the surveys conducted and research on the New Education Policy 2023.

The project is running in collaboration with schools for students of grades 7th to 10th imparting life skills at the right age and with effective techniques.
